SOCIAL JUSTICE POSTER

This poster was developed as a resource poster to help educate others on Genderqueer Terminology and its importance. Different versions were developed, some with more information listed directly on the poster, and some without. Eventually it was decided that a poster design with less information was more effective and encouraged viewers to become more involved with Genderqueer issues because of the emotional connection the poster created. Colors used in the project were taken from the Genderqueer flag, and extensive research was performed for poster concepts that included definitions and terminology directly in the design. Finally, one of the posters was animated for web purposes to create a more dynamic and engaging design that would be more eye-catching on the web. Ultimately, the finished design was selected for its ability to engage with viewers without overwhelming them, with a simple but powerful message that would encourage further investigation and thought on the viewers part without overwhelming them with too much information directly on the poster itself.
